WHEN: Tuesday, October 21st OR Wednesday, October 22nd, 2025 from 6PM - 8PM. Choose one date to audition.

WHERE: Ivy Tech Moravec Hall - Community Room 130 - 4475 Central Avenue Columbus, IN, 47203

PARKING & ENTRANCE DIRECTIONS:

• Enter the free parking lot in front of Moravec Hall off of Poshard or Central - look for the large Ivy Tech sign.

• Enter the main entrance and staff at the front desk will point you in the right direction. The room is in the center of the building just a short distance from the main entrance.

WHO CAN AUDITION: Anyone ages 9 - 90

• 14+ speaking parts with a cast size of 25-35

• Some major speaking parts for young actors with the majority of roles for adult actors. 

• Most actors will participate in stage combat and several roles will be creatures that require good mobility.

• We are seeking culturally diverse actors. 

HOW TO PREPARE: Review the performance and rehearsal details and ensure you are available for the dates listed. Audition will consist of readings from the script in a collaborative environment. For a character breakdown, you can review the “Character Breakdown” section below.

AUDITION FORMS & WAIVERS: Audition forms and waivers will need to be filled out upon arrival at auditions. You can review our participation waiver in advance here. A waiver must be signed by each actor auditioning in person and every cast member. Minors will need waivers signed by a parent/guardian.

VIRTUAL AUDITIONS: If you cannot make the scheduled audition, email Director Stephen Planalp at stephenplanalp@millracetheatre.org by October 20th.
Note: Virtual auditioners might not be considered for principal parts.

CASTING AND REHEARSALS: The cast list will be released on the MRTC website and social media pages by Friday, October 24th, 2025. Rehearsals begin Monday, October 27th. Cast will receive an email with additional details. Rehearsals vary by role (1-4 nights per week). All cast must attend every night during the final week. A witch who rules Narnia with an iron fist and terrible magics. She fears only Aslan and the prophecy of her downfall. 

Aslan

Leonine divine ruler of Narnia and enemy of the White Witch; all-knowing and ferocious, but full of compassion. 

Father Christmas

Humanoid bringer of good cheer and welcome gifts in times of need. 

Fenris Ulf
(teen/adult; male)
Wolf lieutenant of the White Witch, a cruel bully and a savage fighter. 

Dwarf

A humanoid servant of the White Witch, eager to please their imperious master. 

Centaur

A half-man, half-horse allied to Aslan; sturdy and lore-wise. 

Unicorn

Talking Beasts

Various awakened animals allied to Aslan; they come in all shapes and sizes but all are eager to see the prophecy to be fulfilled. 

Wood Nymphs

Humanoid spirits allied to Aslan; assist with scene transitions and eagerly await Aslan.

Humanoid and monstrous creatures allied to the White Witch; found in all shapes and sizes, but none of them good.
