How to Give
Mill Race Theatre Company has several ways you can support your local arts. Ticket sales only provide 55% of Mill Race’s operating budget. Your support helps us bridge the gap, enabling us to continue to bring high quality productions to our community.
When you support MRTC, you are providing: the experience of a lifetime to a cast member; technical and management experience to show staff; and joyful, thought-provoking, quality entertainment to the community.
MRTC accepts payment through PayPal (PayPal fees apply) and via check. A donation box for cash or check is set up at each production.

The following giving levels are given name recognition for that
current season:
Founders: $10,000+
Directors Circle: $5,000-$9,999
Ambassadors: $2,500-$4,999
Patrons: $1,000-$2,499
Friends: $250-$999
Supporters: $1-$249
Our Wish List
MRTC is a theatre without a home.
Our 60-years of performance history proves we’re here to stay. Now we need a place to call home, and we hope you’ll consider helping us in a very big way.
This wish list defines what’s needed to make it happen.

A building that can be built from the ground up, or retrofitted into a 200-seat theatre

Bequest and Estate Giving
Bequest giving is a beautiful and meaningful way to make sure theatre arts carry on to the next generation of performers and audiences.
You may leave a legacy to MRTC through a charitable gift in your will or estate plan. Gifts of cash, stocks, bonds, and real property are accepted. There are many tax benefits associated with bequest giving. Confer with your financial advisor or will and estate planning professional. See below for sample language.
General Bequest - A fixed dollar amount, asset, or percentage of the estate
“I give, devise, and bequeath to Mill Race Theater Company (Columbus, IN/EIN #81-1356269), the sum of $________ (or a description of the specific asset), for the benefit of Mill Race Theatre Company and its general purposes.”
Specific Bequest - A particular item or property for a designated purpose
“I give, devise, and bequeath to Mill Race Theater Company (Columbus, IN/EIN #81-1356269), the sum of $_______ (or a description of a specific asset), for the benefit of Mill Race Theatre Company to be used for the following purpose: (state the purpose). If at any time, in the judgment of Board of Directors of Mill Race Theatre Company it is impossible or impracticable to carry out exactly the designated purpose, then they shall determine an alternative purpose, adhering as closely as possible to my original intent.”
*Gift acceptance is always subject to approval by the MRTC Board of Directors.
Retirement Giving
If you are 73 or older and have a retirement account, there is a required minimum distribution that must be taken by December 31st of each year.
Donations to public charities like Mill Race Theatre Company are tax free. Work with your retirement account provider to issue your RMD to MRTC!
