The Mill Race Theatre Company Board of Directors invites you to join one of our committees! If you have interest in getting more involved behind-the-scenes, fill out our interest form below. If you know someone who would be a good candidate, send them this webpage and encourage them to fill out the details below.

Please note: Some committees require members to have specific skillsets. Filling out this form does not guarantee a position on a committee. All are welcome and encouraged to apply. The Committee Chairs will reach out with relevant next steps as you submit the form.

MRTC Committees Currently Accepting New Members:

  • DEIBA (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Belonging, and Accessibility)

    • Description: The DEIBA Committee supports Mill Race Theatre Company’s commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, belonging, and accessibility across all aspects of the organization. This group focuses on evaluating and improving accessibility in our spaces and communications, expanding inclusive outreach efforts, and strengthening partnerships with community organizations. Committee members will help review policies and practices, support inclusive director onboarding efforts, and identify opportunities to better reflect and serve the full diversity of our community. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about equity, community engagement, and creating a welcoming environment where all members feel seen, valued, and supported.

    • Chairs: Jennifer Englert-Copeland & Alayna Nelson

    • Deadline: Anyone can request to join this committee at any time. We’ll reach out with details about our next meeting.

    • Meeting Cadence: Monthly

  • Marketing Committee

    • Description: MRTC’s Marketing Committee will focus on creating a marketing strategy, reviewing and analyzing social media and web analytics, create marketing processes and templates to support production staffs, and explore additional creative marketing tactics, efforts, and events.

    • Member Skills Needed: passion for analytics, marketing strategy, graphic design, copywriting experience, social media trend expert, creative campaign ideas for in-between productions, passion for MRTC history and community connections, experience or interest in researching and comparing systems, platforms, and vendors, and any additional marketing or social media skills/experience you can bring to the table.

    • Chairs: Sara Beth Merz & Bryssa Helton

    • Deadline: July 27th

    • Meeting Cadence: Monthly/Bi-Monthly

  • Member Engagement Committee

    • Description: The Member Engagement Committee is dedicated to fostering a stronger sense of community and connection among MRTC members. Through monthly get-togethers, engaging activities, and collaborative opportunities, we aim to create an inclusive space where members can interact, share ideas, and stay connected between shows. Our mission is to strengthen the bond within the MRTC family, while also gauging interest and encouraging involvement with future MRTC Endeavors. Some activities you may see include: small groups/clubs, coordinating outings to support friends in shows or other community events, and supporting the MRTC Board in staffing events, etc.
